[the flying teddy]

HELLO :D {again}

We went to Sungei Buloh today. And i'm going to tell you, it was FUN ; as in F-U-N fun :D

I saw mudskippers, fishes, crabs, prawns&giant prawns, monitor lizards, and the sea, and water, and trees, and leaves, and spiders, and spider webs, and dead leaves, and wood, and food, and drinks, and teachers, and my friends, and school mates, and people i don't know, and tourists, and bird nests, and a fake cave-like area with a giant fake crab, and flowers, and bugs, and a wasp, and birds, and mud, and tadpoles, and cameras, and the SKY {: I've seen almost all but crocodiles T^T which i was looking forward to.

The scenery was fantastic, I saw the sea, which stretched out so far it looked like it did not have an apparant end.

The tasks I did for English;

The tasks I did for Science; experiments .

The tasks I did for Geography;

What did i learn from each[English, Science and Geography]? Describe. -alot of things.

I learnt more about ; teamwork .

reflection; I learnt more about team work. And we had to stay together in order not to separate from each other as Sungei Buloh was a big place, because I like nature, I would often wander off somewhere. So I decided to hang on to one of my group member's bag's handle, so i do not wander off again.

There were some interesting events that happened during our trip to Sungei Buloh. For example; the rafia string of my friends' bottle snapped off and fell into the water when they were trying to fetch pond water. It was hilarious, seeing them using another bottle to try to get the fallen bottle back. But the harder they tried, the furthur the bottle swam off. Soon, they decided to give up and watched the bottle as it drifted off.

There was also a time, when my friend and I saw a small wasp, it looked like it was dead, but it was making small movements. I slowly moved towards it, holding my camera handphone, and just as I was at the right position to take a picture of it, the wasp suddenly took off. It scared me, flying right into my face, but I managed to duck to one side just fast enough for the wasp to fly right beside my leg. After it was gone, I stood there wide-eyed, startled with my first close encounter with a wasp.

Then, while walking through a path of trees, I obliviously walked right below a huge spider with its web. Only when I heard my friends scream "Spider!" then did i notice what I walked right below. It was so big it looked like the size of my palm, well, not the body, but counting in the legs as well. It was big, and its long legs made it seem even bigger.

We also went to see crocodiles, but unfortunately, there wasn't any at that time. All the excitement I had saved up for seeing the crocodiles were wasted.

Also, the beverages and foods there were really expensive. Just a can of Green Tea cost me $1.70 and a small bag of tibits cost me $2.

HELLO :D

becky ;
- happy-go-lucky (sort of o.o)
- hobbies; drawing, reading, manga, watching anime
-interest; ANIMALS, my dog(: , the rainbow[especially double rainbows]
- how to be a good group member; well, of course I'll do my very best to help out when we are doing an experiment or any other things. In the team, I am the one who records down things. So when we go on a excursion, or during an experiment, I'll record down important notes or points we might need later on. During excursions, when we go outside of the school for a project, I might get too engrossed with my surroundings and leave my group members behind because I am an out-going person. But I am trying my best to be more serious in my work as it might help in examinations or during tests.

I've always wondered how double rainbows were made. And have you notice the second rainbow's colour order is the the exact opposite as the first one?
Anyway, did you know ; A rainbow does not actually exist at a particular location in the sky. Its apparent position depends on the observer's location and the position of the sun. All raindrops refract and reflect the sunlight in the same way, but only the light from some raindrops reaches the observer's eye. This light is what constitutes the rainbow for that observer. The position of a rainbow in the sky is always in the opposite direction of the Sun with respect to the observer, and the interior is always slightly brighter than the exterior. The bow is centred on the shadow of the observer's head, or more exactly at the antisolar point (which is below the horizon during the daytime), appearing at an angle of 40°–42° to the line between the observer's head and its shadow. As a result, if the Sun is higher than 42°, then the rainbow is below the horizon and cannot be seen as there are not usually sufficient raindrops between the horizon (that is: eye height) and the ground, to contribute. Exceptions occur when the observer is high above the ground, for example in an aeroplane (see above), on top of a mountain, or above a waterfall.
